EED Directive
The European Energy Efficiency Directive requires remotely readable water meters in apartment buildings and buildings with central supply.
2027 deadline
By 2027, all newly installed meters must be remotely readable. Existing meters must be replaced by the end of their service life.
Monthly readings
Since 2022, subscribers have the right to monthly consumption information. Remote readings are the only efficient way to meet this obligation.
